How It Makes a Difference

Grace Emery

Grace Emery

Despite the playful adornments of girlhood – the turquoise headband, the painted nails, and the candy-colored jewelry – 13-year-old Grace Emery is a brave and sensitive young soul, mature beyond her years.

Kathryn Winn

Kathryn Winn

Ten-year-old Kathryn Winn likes bowling, Harry Potter, chicken wings and the Boston Red Sox.  She also likes the team of providers at Vermont Children’s Hospital who helped her beat the cancer she was diagnosed with at the age of seven.

Kelly and Maureen Eddy

Kelly and Maureen Eddy

Sisters Maureen and Kelly Eddy share much: a love for reading, a talent for laughing, and a passion for living. They also share the same medical problem – cystic fibrosis.

Abby Goodrich

Abby Goodrich

Abby became a patient at Vermont Children’s Hospital even before she was born. Her spirit, strength and determination have helped her battle a rare genetic kidney disease, autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease. Abby is a true champion in every sense of the word.
