Jeff Wyand Miracle Ride Named in honor of Jeff Wyand, a Plattsburgh native who battled with cancer for many years, this ride celebrates the spirit, honors the courage and supports the children and families at Vermont Children’s Hospital fighting cancer every day.

Join hundreds of motorcycle riders to raise funds for the pediatric oncology programs at Vermont Children’s Hospital at Fletcher Allen Health Care. Riders enjoy a parade- style ride through northern New York and an afternoon barbecue at the Naked Turtle in Plattsburgh.

Participants can register the day of the event in both Vermont and New York. More registration details will be available in April.

Adding to the fun and excitement of the ride will be the 2nd Annual Poker Crawl. Riders will choose to add to the fun by buying in to a Poker Crawl. Participants will receive their first three cards at Registration sites and their final two cards at the Naked Turtle barbeque. The player who accrues the best hand will win the Grand Prize, the player with the next best hand will win the 2nd Place Prize, and a "last chance" drawing will be held amongst all of the remaining players to determine the winner of the "BUST" hand consolation prize package. In the event of a tie for Grand Prize or 2nd Place, players will be entered into a drawing to determine the final winner.

In 2008, the Jeff Wyand Miracle Ride raised over $52,000 to benefit the pediatric oncology programs at Vermont Children’s Hospital. With your generous participation and support, we are sure to exceed this in 2009!
